Frank Loftus D.C. MMCA
Having farmed after leaving school, Frank retrained in his late 40's as a chiropractor (McTimmoney approach). He began practising in his own home, and has been running the Rose and Crown Clinic for the last 20 years. He loves walking and studying philosophy.

Anne Hext BSc (Hons) Chiro MMCA

This inspired her to follow her calling in chiropractic, completing five years study and gaining a first class honours degree.

Emily van Wyk Bsc (Hons) Chiro MMCA
While completing her BA in Classical Studies, she had a fall while out riding and needed chiropractic care. During her work as a demand analyst in the telecoms industry, she took a degree in chiropractic. She has now relocated to Devon to fulfil her chiropractic ambition. She enjoys all sports and continues to be a keen horse rider.
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical approach to healing and wellness. Chiropractic restores health and prevents injury by improving the structural integrity of the body, primarily the spine. The brain communicates with the rest of the body via the spinal cord and nervous system. When functioning perfectly, this communication is uninterrupted, and the messages go to and from the brain without interference.
McTimoney Method of Chiropractic
This is a method devised to safely
restore a patient's total structural integrity. It uses a low force adjustment technique suitable for all ages. Serious misalignment will
often cause the body to compensate with subsequent motor adaptations and this is one of the main reason why the whole body id assessed at each treatment. McTimoney Chiropractors check and subtlely
adjust bones of the skull, thorax, spine, pelvis and limbs, relieving tensions throughout the entire structure.
The aim of a course of treatment is to help the body realign itself, thereby restoring correct nerve functions, resulting in improved health. It is the gentleness of the technique and the treatment
of the whole body that distinguishes the McTimoney technique from other manipulative methods.
Addressing the root of the problem
The nervous system is the body's
wiring. If there's something wrong with the wiring, the signal does not reach the intended body part, and this may result in illness. Interference of this kind may be manifested anywhere along your
spine. Pain in your arm or hand may actually be caused by a problem in your neck, where the nerves connecting to the hand originate. A qualified chiropractor can examine the spine for interferences
and remove them through controlled techniques.
Established practice
Chiropractic focuses on the
relationship of structure and function (as coordinated by the nervous system), and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of your health. Qualified chiropractors are
professional practitioners registered with the General Chiropractic Council. They deliver long-term
care at a fraction of the cost of drug treatments and surgery.
